THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CODE / THE AUTHOR

Dario
Chiapperini.

I'm a full-stack developer and consultant based in Piacenza, Italy. I work on architecture, development and deployment, taking projects from an idea to a working application.

FastAng grew out of my everyday work and a clear idea of simplicity.

I've worked with Angular and Fastify for five years. I've used them to build all kinds of projects, getting to know their strengths, limits and how they fit together.

That experience made me want a shared foundation: a way to build complete applications with both technologies, clear conventions and well-defined responsibilities.

I always liked Next.js as a full-stack framework for React, especially the Pages Router experience. I liked being able to trace a request and understand where each responsibility belonged.

As the focus shifted toward the App Router and the Client and Server Components model, that way of working felt increasingly distant from mine. I chose to move away because I value simplicity and a separation of responsibilities that is immediately clear when I read the code.

That choice reflects how I like to design software. It led me to look for a full-stack experience I could feel at home with in the Angular ecosystem.

I couldn't find a full-stack Angular framework that met my needs. Analog inspired me to imagine a way forward, and FastAng is my attempt to build it around my own priorities.

I want Angular to stay recognizable in the interface and Fastify to remain accessible in the backend. Routing, APIs and rendering should work together while keeping each part's role easy to understand.

FastAng is still a prototype. Its goal is to make it simpler to work with two technologies I know and use every day.

“Simplicity and a clear separation of responsibilities.”
